Fernando joined BBVA more than 20 years ago, working the first years in engineering and the last 12 years in the CI&B area. During these last 12 years he has been in the market risk unit responsible for the valuation of the most exotic operations, Risk Methodology as secretary of the new products committee, Product Owner in Global Markets of the market data distribution platform optimising consumption and reducing the total bill, and more recently he has joined the CI&B Finance area as head of the CI&B Data Sources unit.

Fernando also holds a degree in Mathematics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and after graduating he completed his training with the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
