Nathanael is a Senior Associate Counsel at SIIA. He joined SIIA from Perkins Coie, where he worked as an IP and competition lawyer. He has worked on a broad range of issues, including patent litigation, patent prosecution, competition, regulation, and appeals. Nathanael has degrees in electrical and computer engineering, and he has experience working with technology companies in a wide range of industries.  Before joining Perkins, Nathanael clerked for Judge Dyk on the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Prior to clerking, he worked as a patent litigator with Jones Day in Palo Alto and prosecuted patents before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office with a boutique firm in Dallas. And before starting his career in patent law, Nathanael conducted academic research across multiple technical fields including semiconductors, surgery, neuroscience, and material properties.
