As Global Head of Industry and Company Intelligence within the Market Intelligence division of S&P Global, Richard is focused on leading the development of multi-asset class, company & industry data and analytics solutions enabling investment decision-making in fast-changing markets.. Richard has over 25 years of experience leading, building and driving innovation/growth initiatives in data, technology and analytics companies.

Since joining S&P Global in 2019, Richard held several leadership roles in Enterprise Data Management & Strategy before leading the continued build out of the Market Intelligence division’s highly differentiated industry solutions supporting clients across Banking, Insurance, Real Estate, Technology, Energy and Metals & Mining sectors.

Prior to S&P Global, Richard served as VP, Global Head of Life Sciences at Clarivate Analytics Plc (CCC) where he led the Life Sciences division accountable for setting the overall strategy across Data, Product, Services, Sales and Marketing prior to its successful public offering in May 2019.

Richard is a passionate supporter of innovation within the pharmaceutical industry and has been actively engaged in precompetitive/nonprofit data initiatives with organization’s including Pistoia Alliance, Drug Information Association (DIA) and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation with the aim of accelerating the innovation in novel drug development and approvals

Richard holds a BSc. MChem in Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Design and Toxicology.
