FISD takes COVID-19 very seriously. The venue will require attendees to provide proof of vaccination onsite and request the wearing of masks when seated in the auditorium listening to speakers. As much as possible, we will be spacing seating so that there is more distance between seats. FISD will comply with local and national government rules – and the rules/policies of the venue. We plan to organize the networking element of this event to create an environment that enables a high degree of individual choice.

3:50 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Thought Leadership - The Art of the Possible
Sometimes, it seems the Market Data industry can be a bit of a dinosaur with much focus on cost when there are other important areas to improve. What can the industry be doing to improve, innovate and add more true value to each other. We will explore how to be different yet productive, expand short term thinking to long term and where more value should be delivered on education.
Mark Schaedel, Non-Executive & Strategy Advisor, DataBP
4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. Panel Discussion - Inertia vs. Innovation
A discussion to question, challenge, and debate as to how we achieve collective innovation; recognizing the inertia that often blocks such innovation. How best to promote industry education and generate investment to create products that better serve our needs. Not forgetting improving overall administration and making effective use of (new) technologies. Finally, how we can collaborate on common approaches (dare we mention standards) and reduce, or even ideally eradicate ambiguity.
Geoff Horrell, Global Head of Innovation and Labs, London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG)
4:45 p.m. - 5:10 p.m. Fireside Chat - EU Consolidated Tape Update
The EU Commission unveiled their capital markets plan on the 25th November which delved deeper into the plan for a Consolidated Tape. Some Exchanges will benefit from the introduction whilst others feel they will miss out. There are differing opinions on whether the plans are thorough or disadvantage some areas of trading and how will this all impact the investors. What are the pro's and con's, who are the winners here, will it really reduce costs as ESMA will seek 'reasonable' commercial fees for the service. Are we clear yet when the CT will launch, still work to do it seems.
