This interactive on-line workshop, open to all members of FISD and SIIA, will be the first in a quarterly series offering DEI-related education.
Organizations are challenged to develop leaders from diverse backgrounds who can think strategically and solve systemic problems. Women and People of Color (POC) are often treated as “doers” rather than the strategy gurus, due to external and sometimes internal biases. What does it mean to be a strategist, and how can women & POC leaders showcase their strategic capabilities? Moreover, how can their managers support this effort? This workshop offers a new model that helps to shape strategic leaders using five perspective shifts that move POC and women into a more strategic mindset, understand their value, and increase their impact, as well as provide allyship opportunities to non-diverse managers.
Participants will achieve the following learning objectives:
Michele Kawamoto Perry, Senior Facilitator and Consultant, Orange Grove Consulting
Roshan Shah, Senior Facilitator and Consultant, Orange Grove Consulting
