Director of Product Strategy, EMEA, Morningstar Europe

Cathy McEwing and has over 20 years of experience in the financial research and data industry and is the Director of Product Strategy, EMEA for Morningstar Europe. In this role Cathy is responsible for ensuring the optimal execution of go-to-market, sales enablement and market insight initiatives across the region. In her 10+ years with Morningstar, Cathy initially headed the Morningstar Investor Relations business (sold to in 2013) and subsequently, was the Director of Deal Management, EMEA. Cathy is actively involved in Morningstar’s mentoring programme and the Morningstar “green team”.

Before joining Morningstar, Cathy was the European head of content and project management for Alacra, a US-based content technology company, from 2006-2008. From 2003-2006, Cathy headed historical data products at the London Stock Exchange. Additionally, Cathy has 12 years of investor relations experience working for Thomson Reuters (now Refinitive) and Georgeson in both London and New York, primarily focused on delivering online IR applications and software.

Cathy has an MBA from New York University and a Bachelors degree in Finance from Loyola University, Baltimore.
