Dan Wadsworth

SVP, Strategic Alliances, S&P Global

Dan was a Managing Director at S&P Global, a leading provider of intelligence, investment research, market data, analytics, credit ratings and benchmarks to the capital and commodity markets worldwide.  Dan is the Global Head the of Content Acquisition and Rights Management team and is responsible for setting the strategy related to the acquisition and use of 3rd party content use across the organization. Dan leads a specialized team of professionals, across the globe, focused on; development of multi-asset content strategies, negotiation of content acquisition, achievement of measurable data cost savings, management of third-party relationships, intra-company data asset collaboration, use of rights analyses, reporting on content use, managing exchange relationships and governance of S&P Global’s data usage. 

Dan joined S&P Global in February 2014 and uses his extensive experience in leading negotiations to allow S&P Global to redistribute data sets to clients and use them as inputs for S&P Global derivative works such as proprietary curated content, research, ratings, models, and other purposes. Dan has provided leadership during mergers, acquisitions, divestitures by identifying targets, conducting due diligence, identifying synergy opportunities, exposing and mitigating risks, and managing integration activities. 

Prior to joining S&P Global, Dan spent twelve years in capital markets with Nasdaq most recently as VP, Corporate Solutions where he was responsible for the Asia Pacific region for the division.  Throughout his career, including at Nasdaq and KPMG consulting, Dan has worked with numerous organizations around the globe to develop key strategies, execute growth initiatives, negotiate partnership deals and acquisitions, establish sales channels and ensure efficient operations.  Dan earned a B.A. from American University in Washington, DC and currently resides in New York City.
