Head of Labs, Americas, Refinitiv

Joe Rothermich is the Head of Labs – Americas at Refinitiv. He leads innovation for our labs in San Francisco and New York as well as StarMine Research, a provider of quantitative models to institutional investors. The labs are applying emerging technologies such as machine learning, AI, and alternative data to create new tools and sources of insight for the financial markets. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Joe was a quantitative portfolio manager at a Lincoln Vale LLC, a Fintech startup founder, and a consultant at Accenture and data science consulting firms. Joe received an M.Sc. in Natural Computation from the University of Birmingham, UK, and a B.S. in Systems Analysis from Miami University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
