Scott Y. Stuart, Esq., is the Chief Executive Officer of Turnaround Management Association (TMA), a professional and global community of 54 chapters and 10,000 members that seek to strengthen the global economy by working to save distressed businesses, assist management to navigate off-plan events, and help healthy companies avoid similar pitfalls. Having started his career with the United States Department of Justice with the Office of the United States Trustee, Scott has led law groups, acquisition models, and business development teams. Prior to taking the helm at TMA, Scott co-founded Esquify, an AI-driven workforce management platform. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in the restructuring, legal, and distressed investment sectors and has a proven track record of building, growing, and leading successful companies, from corporations to startups.
Along with TMA leadership roles during the last nearly 20 years, Scott has held leadership and board positions with the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, and New York Institute of Credit. He previously served on the board of Futures and Options, one of New York City’s premier not-for-profit educational organizations, which empowers underserved high school students by providing career development programs and paid, mentored internships.
