This document works well to ensure that everyone (the photographer and the client) know what is going on, what the responsibilities are, and what the terms of the arrangement are (when things will happen, ownership of images, payment, etc.). Once it is signed, the problem of anyone saying the "I didn't know…" disappears. It holds everyone to their responsibilities.
