This contract spells out what is expected of a subeditor for a journal using a workflow where a subeditor makes decisions on papers and refers those decisions to the editor-in-chief. This contract also has a compensation system in which the subeditors are paid per decisions made on papers instead of a flat honorarium, a method good for journals that receive a large number of annual submissions.
